These talks focus on one key point. This can be an idea, successful project, a cautionary story, collaboration invitation, quick tip or demonstration. This is an opportunity for ideas to get the attention they deserve.
Lightning talk proposals must include: title, author name and short biography, five keywords, and a short description of the planned talk. Please indicate on your abstract whether you would be willing to have your proposal considered as a poster if it is not accepted as a lightning talk.
Lightning talks are an excellent opportunity for first-time speakers.
Deadline - midnight CET, 17 April 2017
SUBMISSION OPENS 1 FEBRUARY 2017!
In the last years, several TNC participants have created high quality poster presentations. An effective poster presentation is not just a standard research paper stuck to a board. It should summarise your work with graphs and images to tell the story and should use text more sparingly. Featuring a poster at TNC will serve as an excellent advertisement for your work, and can act as a great conversation starter with TNC participants.
In general, poster presentations are less formal than regular presentations, are more interactive and can provoke various points of view. Selected posters will be displayed in an area close to the parallel sessions and on the conference website.
Poster proposals may include future work that is expected to produce results in the first half of 2017. Abstracts should clearly indicate what work has already been done and what still has to take place.
Please indicate on your abstract whether you would be willing to have your proposal considered as a lightning talk if it is not accepted as a poster.
