Chin Guok

Chin Guok joined ESnet as a network engineer in the Fall of 1997 after graduating from the University of Arizona with an M.S. in Computer Science. He was part of the core team that architected and deployed the ESnet4 backbone network in 2007 as well as the current ESnet5 network. He was the Principal Investigator of the ESnet On-demand Secure Circuits and Advanced Reservation System (OSCARS) project and serves as the technical lead for the now deployed service. His current responsibilities include architecting specialized overlay services within the ESnet production backbone, and prototyping SDN production solutions (e.g. SDX, transport SDN). He also serves as co-chair to the Open Grid Forum Network Services Interface Working Group.
