Collaboration of Catalan Universities

Catalan universities have a long history of collaboration in some of the services provided to the members of their institutions. Probably one of the best examples is the collaboration among libraries through the former Consortium of Universitiy libraries now transformed into the Consortium of University Services once merged with the Supercomputing Center. In the framework of this collaboration the Catalan Universities have created a working group to advance towards the establishment of a common strategy in Research data management.

So far the working group has elaborated two documents: a data management plan model following the requirements of the H2020 projects and a recommendation to release data in repositories. Moreover a Catalan version of the DMPOnline Tool is available in two languages following the DMP model elaborated. Currently the group is working in adapting the LEARN model of research data management policy for institutions to provide Catalan universities with a common text to adopt a policy within 2017 as committed by the Research vice-rectors. Finally the group wants to analyze which is the most suitable infrastructure to put in place to work with data during the full research cycle.
